Where Rooted Movement originated:
“I pinched myself to make sure I wasn’t dreaming.
Five years into my Massage Career I realized I was leaving the end of my work days feeling less-stressed, better aligned and more self-aware than when I had arrived in the morning!
How could it be? How was I experiencing this blessing so starkly opposed to the usual effects of work-a-day stress, tension and discomfort? How could I be making my living helping others release the very work-a-day discomfort I was now finding my self immune to, when comparatively I performed a far more physical job?
I can’t tell you the scientific equation, and I can’t guarantee the factors, or answer, will be the same for everyone (I can guarantee they won’t). I do know science isn’t yet mature enough to fully explain these feelings. Like Native Americans using Willow Bark for headaches thousands of years before science had ability to “discover” aspirin.
I am positive you’ll know it when you are feeling it.
I share the ingredients and recipe offering me this wonderful experience and blessing. Through the story and experiences I share, you’ll be empowered to create your own recipe of bliss.
MY RECIPE
Principle Ingredients: (Idea Seeds)
1.Feelings of Myofascial balance and resiliently powerful musculoskeletal tensegrity.
2. Release to move, move to release. (Non-telegraphic, distally-intrinsically-recruited economy of motion.)
3.Relaxed, sensitive, grounded center and structure.
4.Thinking like a tree: Vertical access to Chi (Life force).
5.Awareness of Sensation-Awareness-Release cycle (Articulate the other half of the sensation spectrum often overlooked in medicine. Explore the possibilities that lie between no-sensation and ecstasy.)
Directions:
Rooted Movement seminar provides experiences that plant these idea seeds. Simply nurture and grow the roots with intentional playful practice. This simply means: Let them be in your thoughts, apply when thought of. Ask all questions. Repeat, indefinitely.
