I’m embarking on a new journey of nutrition and self discovery. It’s been something I’ve been wanting to do for years, but as we know fear and doubt can weight heavily on our decisions. I’ve enrolled in the Nutritional Therapy Practitioner program through the accredited Nutritional Therapy Association.
Not only will this journey help me and my family, but I want to continue my work with children, families and the greater community. My struggles with distorted body image, diet and exercise have been a life long battle. I catch myself in a negative thought cycle when I see a picture of myself, or look in a full length mirror. Why do we do this? Why do I do this? I want to stop those thoughts. Those demons haunt me, and it’s time I conquer them rather then let them continue to haunt me. Learning about my body, how it functions and how I can use food to change and/or heal me is an amazing skill I can’t wait to learn and share! When I’m done in June 2016, I envision using my education to guide people into more conscience healthy lifestyles through food, self love and more.
I will share my experience as I travel through this amazing opportunity. I start next Monday September 21st! Yahoo!!! I’m so excited!
