New Video: Self-Rib Correction Technique for Back, Shoulder, and Neck Pain. + COVID-19 Closure Update.

I hope you and your family are staying healthy and safe at home, or healthy and safe @ work if you are on the front lines – a huge thank you to you all. I know we could all use a massage right about now. Until our practices can legally re-open, I’ve made a video showing how you can sometimes replace me with a wall or door. ; ). I hope it helps you work out some kinks and release a little stress. Enjoy. If you find it helpful and you’re able, please make a donation in any amount using the form below the video. Thanks for your support. Scroll past the video for a detailed COVID-19 closure update.

COVID-19 Closure Details:

The last time I had my hands on a client was March 14th. My schedule cleared by clients self-cancelling from their own concerns before we had official orders from the Governor. On Wednesday March 19th, through Oregon Executive Order 20-10, all elective and non-urgent medical procedures were prohibited to conserve PPE, such as the gloves we LMTs use through June 15th, 2020.

I am complying with this order, and unless things change, will be closed for hands on work through June 15th, 2020. Let’s cross our fingers that we’re able to get back to life by that date!

I was amazed by the support I received from so many of you following my last newsletter announcing my closure. Your generous tips and donations helped me meet my bills for the month, and for that, and for you, I am so grateful.

This is scary and unprecedented for so many in the service industries, and I am worried for all those who are out of work and sorting it out alone. I am blessed that my wife has work as a Childcare Licensor for the State of Washington. (They’ve actually been working their tails off (from home) to help keep childcare open and safe for all the frontline workers and their children.) I have my daughter back from U of O to complete spring term from her bedroom! My son is proving very useful at helping me make video. My unemployment application is in (thankful congress included relief for self-employed and independent contractors). I’ll be looking into the small business loans as soon as my bank opens applications. There’s lots of hope, but many unknowns as to how long it will take and how much help there will actually be. In the meantime if you need my help, I’m offering online facetime/skype/messenger consults at less than 1/2 price: 30 minutes for $25, 60 minutes for $50, 90 minutes for $60.

We can work virtually on self-care: posture, movement, self-massage/pain relief strategies, stretching and strengthening, mind-body and meditative practices or just general education. Click here to schedule.

I can’t wait to see you all again in person, and share my caring touch. Stay safe and well,

Aaron
